The RVM Heavy Trackway is a rapidly deployable roadway system designed to give heavy vehicles immediate access over soft or unstable surfaces. Within minutes, it creates a stable route across mud, sand, and desert terrain—preventing bogging and operational delays.

Built from high-strength polypropylene yarn, steel wire, and spring steel rods, the Heavy Trackway combines flexibility with exceptional durability. Available in 4 m or 4.6 m widths and 25 m or 50 m lengths, it delivers reliable ground support wherever mobility is critical.

Developed with the cooperation of the Dutch Armed Forces, the system offers lightweight performance (15 kg/m²), simple handling, and field-proven reliability in extreme climates. Multiple mats can be connected to create temporary roads of any required length.

STRONG, FLEXIBLE & ENGINEERED FOR EXTREME LOADS

The integrated spring steel rods create a unique membrane effect, distributing wheel loads efficiently into the subsoil. This prevents rutting or permanent ground deformation and supports repeated loads up to MLC 70.

The Heavy Trackway is maintenance-free, reusable, and resistant to chemicals, UV, and harsh weather conditions—ideal for sustained field operations. 

FAST & EFFICIENT DEPLOYMENT

For even faster operations, the Heavy Trackway can be deployed using RVM’s:

• Fast Deployment Tool (FDT)
• Flatrack Deployment System with Exchangeable Spool (FDS-ES)

Both systems allow rapid laying and retrieval using standard front loaders, maximizing mobility in remote, tactical, or time-critical scenarios.
